If you have a manual transmission, pulling out the pump to replace these seals is VERY easy. I strongly recommend this over a new pump (oil in the pump is NOT a sign of failure, it is by design). If you have an automatic it's a bit more work, but you do NOT have to pull the transmission like the service manual dictates (you remove the cap from the pump and unscrew it from the hole). Don't let your engine get covered in oil and grease and cause a fire or become a nightmare for your next job because it's inconvenient.
