Overall this is a pretty good scratching post compared to others here. - Danger. Also, like most scratching posts I've seen, the posts are cardboard, I thought it was a better quality. Assembly was a little tricky as the pre-punched holes didn't line up perfectly. My cat has some trouble getting to the upper levels with a food bowl as there isn't much platform to jump off. Finally, while the rug is very soft, it feels very cheap and if your cat scratches it rather than the sisal poles, it won't last long. The positives: It's quite strong, although I've only had it for a few days. The rope toy and ball toy are well made - no snags I've seen on other trees - and my cat loves them. The overall design is pretty cute and my cat loves the two hammocks.
