Since purchasing the lids we have been using them to cover mugs, jars and open aluminum cans. We like that they seal and cut with plastic wrap, although you do need to make sure the contact surfaces are dry of water or other liquids. So far, they have sealed the holes in the form of circles and squares with a real seal every time. They also come in a variety of sizes. We "don't like" that they only perfectly cover round holes, although we were able to close a square hole (it was harder but we managed) and will need to update them again in the future due to their ability to perfectly cover non-circular holes to seal.
