I prefer this cable to the standard straight cable I use in my car. I went from a 3.3 inch cable that was too short, to a 6 foot cable that was too long, to this cable that stays neatly in the car's center console phone slot but stretches when needed. The project description states that it extends up to 6 feet. I suppose it could, but it's so tight that I feel it would be unnecessarily difficult to do without risking the entire cable popping out of the USB port. It feels too tight to comfortably stretch more than 2-3 feet. So if you're using your phone to pay while driving through Windows, you'll need to unplug it or risk hitting yourself in the face with the other end of the cable if it pops out of the USB port.
