I've had an original 500GB PS4 since launch day and wanted to upgrade it so I could not only double the storage (I'm tired of deleting games to install new ones) but also loading and reduce loading times. Man, that damn 1TB SSD is a treat! For example, from the moment I turn on my PS4, I can be in the COD lobby in about 45 seconds. It used to take 3 minutes with a standard ride. I didn't want to spend more money to buy an upgraded PS4 like Pro especially since PS5 is coming out soon, it was the best upgrade that only took a few minutes. Tip: It will take several hours to back up your PS4 settings before changing discs if you have games. My best advice is to first wipe the games on PS4, then make a backup and then download the games once everything is installed as it is much faster than transferring from hard drive.
