This is the worst whore I've ever bought. The cable has started to come loose and is safe to use. When curled up, it doesn't move from left to right like it needs to create a binding, and can't use it until you take the time to pull like hell to release the cable. THIS device was inexpensive but had good reviews. although this block was only used in mine. Trailer about 6 times to load and unload race cars under 2500 pounds.
