Pierced ears in the wrong place

However, they are absolutely adorable. I bought a size up for my 6 year old nephew (age 7-12) because he has a big brain. They fit perfectly around his head, but the ear piercings are too far forward and flap over his ears. We're hoping we can trim them down to make a second hole or adjust an existing hole to the right spot because they're so cute and he'll want to wear them. kinda sad.
