I really wanted to love this vacuum cleaner, but unfortunately I just can't. In an average week, I vacuum about 1,000 square feet of carpet in my house 2-3 times. Sometimes 4-5 times if there was a big mess or dirt. That's a lot of carpet. We have two short haired domestic cats and a few long haired individuals. When using this vacuum I have to constantly struggle with it to get the job done and stop several times to empty the canister 1/4 because it gets clogged. himself again. The vacuum cleaner has some good qualities and when it works well it has excellent suction power. I like the ability to turn off the carpet casters and love how easy it is to climb stairs. This is where the good ends for me. * The canister is constantly clogged. Hair/dirt rotates around the cup and rises until it clogs the filter and reduces flow. The vacuum cleaner sounds different and stops sucking with the same power. I have to remove the dirt, then reach out and manually clean the filter. Sometimes you have to pull everything out to clear the blockage. I do this SEVERAL times on a typical day. I have never been able to go through a single session without clearing anything up. That's really my biggest problem. I've never had a vacuum that clogs up so constantly. * It's not balanced, especially on the sides. All properties make it unbalanced, and when cleaning, it wants to tip over at certain angles. Sometimes it feels like you're trying to put your drunk mate to bed when he can't walk anymore. Have you ever mowed a wet lawn? This is what it looks like. * No self-propelled features. This is part of the problems mentioned above. Since the vacuum is up to you to move fully forward, you must push it forward. That's fine in a small pile, but once you hit something plush, forget it. When I finish vacuuming, my arm, wrist, and shoulder really hurt from the force I have to use to get this through my mid-height carpet. I have plush rugs with lots of padding underneath. This is the only vacuum cleaner that has had problems like this. * The cable is on the right side. I understand that this is a big plus for left-handers. For a right-handed person like me, this makes handling difficult, especially when I'm already trying to avoid tipping over the carpet with a lot of effort. Bottom line: if you have very low and not a lot of carpet, this is probably a decent vacuum for you. If you're like me and have a home full of medium or longer pile, keep looking. Attached is a picture of a clogged tank. You can see how the dirt accumulates between the filter and the outer wall. The vacuum will change pitch and you will notice a difference in suction power. I was vacuuming for less than 5 minutes when I had to stop and put it away. This is incredibly annoying.
