Media could not be loaded. I bought this machine last week after reading many positive reviews and after a quick and easy setup I was ready to print. Assembly was easy, requiring only a few screws to attach the main portal to the base of the unit. Once assembled, attach the LCD panel and connect all the cables to the appropriate stepper motors and encoders (they are all marked with a yellow clip). The frame on this machine is rock solid and is used as the base frame by other companies like Creality, Anycubic and Artillery, meaning parts are available should anything ever need replacing. I set the voltage on the power supply to US standard and started the machine. The fans are fairly quiet and the scroll wheel used for making selections on the LCD provides positive clicks when selecting options in the menu. Loading the filament was also pretty easy and the machine comes with a filament detection sensor that works great, but I chose not to use it (I try not to use it on all my machines to avoid extrusion issues). The test file is attached. with the machine prints surprisingly well with really good quality! I have attached the image below for reference. I've now been printing on the machine for about 20 hours and it's easy to say I've had no problems and the quality is amazing for a 3D printer that only costs $300. One of the best features of this machine is that it comes with factory-enabled overheat protection. If you don't know what this is I suggest you look it up as many creative machines do not have this enabled from the factory and could create a fire hazard. It's safe to say that I'm comfortable with this feature included in the Sovol SV01. I will be purchasing a BL Touch to install as my next upgrade and the printer is ready to accept it as there is already space next to it to install. an extruder, as well as an option with a silent Sovol motherboard to further dampen the motors. If you are looking for a high volume direct drive construction machine that is not built Bowden style I would say this is a great deal at $300. Not to mention that I was able to get some amazing prints out of the box with Sovol without any modifications. Most machines in this price range require some tweaking to even come close to the quality of the Sovol SV01.5 Stars that could be bought later.
