Enormously improves the effect of spices
Perfect for the kitchen. I have some old Italian spices and they don't seem to have any effect. When you grind them up in this mortar and pestle, the aroma is excellent and the flavor falls right into the sauce. Ideal for dried whole herbs such as thyme or rosemary.
