) and a USB-A port (which can be used to power your iPad etc.) AT THE SAME TIME. However, as the manual states, if your Surface Pro is drawing 55W or more, the USB port will be temporarily disabled "to protect the charger." I use the charger to charge my Surface Pro 6 and iPad Pro at the same time and both devices continued to charge with no issues. In other words, the USB-A port was not turned off. I love this charger! And note: the USB-A port delivers maximum power very quickly to charge my iPad Pro, just like Apple chargers. One more thing, I recommend model #1 because if you buy model #2, the weight of the charger hangs down from the wall, not out. Hanging means it won't fall out of the nest. The product looks very good but only time will tell if it will last for many years.
