UPDATE April 12, 2021: I was so happy with it in our freezer that when we bought a second freezer I bought another unit to control its temperature. Unfortunately, instead of the new device I paid for, I received unsealed packaging and a device with batteries inserted. Instructions were included, but there were also instructions for a completely different monitor from a different manufacturer. It works well too, although there are floors and walls between my usual phone location and the freezer, which made me concerned about getting data onto my phone. The app is not useless. It shows the battery level, which is helpful so I know when the battery needs to be replaced. The chart option defaults to showing the last 6 hours and there is no guidance in the manual on how to see anything else.
