Review on Sony DualSense gamepad, space red by Wiktor Janeczek ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are several shortcomings, in principle, it corresponds to the norm.

I don't currently own a gaming PC or console, but I hope to remedy that situation in the coming year. Here, I opted for a future-proof controller that works with both PCs and one of the consoles. I'm currently focusing on optimizing the innards of a MacBook Pro equipped with an M1 and a laptop powered by a Ryzen 7 4700U. Using Windows and Steam, I was able to use a gamepad with the vast majority of titles. Only in Tomb Raider did I remember to look for poppies. I had to resort to an outdated wired gamepad to complete the first two games of the trilogy. However, I had to disable the vibration in Shadow of the Tomb Raider despite the fact that it functioned properly. I can't judge the controller's quality until I get my hands on a PS5 and some of the newer games that support it, or until PC titles that take advantage of the controller's features are released. This, however, may not occur anytime soon. I found that the triangle button, which I frequently hit in Horizon: Zero Dawn to pick up goods, became stuck after roughly 100 hours of play. Suddenly, the spring became much worse and stalled. This has been bearable up to now, but not at this price.

Pros
  • Feels good when touched. Wireless charging through Type-C connector My typical stick configuration Power supply
Cons
  • Expends its charge in a matter of days, even with vibration disabled and the brightness of the backlight set to minimum. Poor MacOS game compatibility After 100 hours of play, the Triangle button still won't work.
