Review on High-Efficiency 8-Bay AA/AAA Battery Charger for Rechargeable Ni-MH/Ni-CD AA Batteries - Quick Charge, Independent Slot Design by Thomas Drew

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good display screen, supports Micro-USB and USB-C ports

Pretty good set at a reasonable price. I wish they had an LED indicator as well so I can see when the charge is complete from across the room. Battery compartment independent of the connection type. You should probably use a wall charger or a 2 amp USB port when charging. They didn't include it, but it seems to be standard these days. USB charging ports are pretty much everywhere, so not including them in the packaging is a bit eco-friendly. The kit included only one charging cable: USB-A - Micro-USB. All 8 bays are universal, fitting AA or AAA connectors. Near the bottom of each compartment is a small hook that hooks onto the bottom edge of the AAA battery. When fully charged, all NiMH batteries stabilized at 1.41V +/- 0.002V. (He charges them at 1.48 volts.) One thing to note: Battery cases are pretty slippery - batteries seem to love it , jumping right out of your fingers when you touch them. Also, I was a bit frustrated at first when I opened the plastic boxes because they were sealed with tape. However, the tape was so thin and clear that I couldn't see it and kept thinking I was just trying to open it the wrong way round. quite well, given the obvious workmanship. I really didn't have anything that I didn't like about this set, but at the same time there wasn't that "something extra" that would give it 5 stars. I think if they had lights that could be seen from a distance once charging was complete that would be enough to put this "on top".
