This silk duvet is the centerpiece of my bed. I ordered a twin winterweight. I sleep very warm. I used to sleep with two duvets, this duvet replaces both. I have no comment on the quality of the silk as I am new to silk quilts. Yes, at first there was a slight smell, but after a while it went away. This blanket breathes like no other synthetic blanket has ever breathed. It's very warm and very soft. It's also heavy, so people used to closing blankets might be in for a surprise. I added an LLBean Flannel Blanket and together they are awesome! I don't want to get out of bed in the morning! If I were really picky I'd say the silk filling isn't exactly evenly dense (although I can't say I've had cold spots) and I'd also appreciate more than a few buttons holding the silk in place and hold position. on site. But other than that I am very happy with this purchase! If only I could take it with me when I travel.
