We bought this cover for our 2012 Ford Focus hatchback. He's standing in front of the garage in the driveway under an evergreen tree. The stickiest sap drips from the tree and is the ideal substance for gluing the pine needles that have also fallen from the tree to the car trim. We would have trimmed it but the home appraiser said it really adds value to the home because it is so mature. What fool thought an evergreen tree would be a good tree to plant next to a driveway? We buy car covers all the time. At first we thought that any coating would do because it weakens and wears down over time. So we used a lot of bulky tools to put on the car covers. And when we got fed up with it, we decided to just buy car covers with our own mounts. To date, this car paint job is the best we've dealt with. Thanks to the straps, it stays in place even in strong winds. While other lids have shifted, flapped, and simply torn, this one stays taut. And while tree sap is still a nuisance, very little residue gets into the machine and what can be filtered out is simply wiped away. The cover is sometimes thrown in the washing machine and put back in the machine. You can do a lot worse!
