I have a feeling that this particular desk was obviously designed for old massive CRT monitors as the side stand at the end of the table fits the CRT perfectly for the i used this setting. I assembled it myself for about an hour, it looks pretty durable. The finish is the only thing I'm concerned about, but for only $80 I wouldn't expect it to stay intact. In the end, everything underneath is made of chipboard. I would keep a paint pen handy just in case. For what I wanted to use this table for, it fits perfectly. Fits well in a corner and has room for a tall tower and chunky monitor. The keyboard tray could have been a bit wider, so consider a keyless keyboard if you plan on playing multiple FPS games or similar. But even so, I have a very wide keyboard on this tablet and I still have enough room to use a mouse to play games. This desk doesn't give you cable management options, so I installed the backplate behind the keyboard to keep the cables off the floor. Just make sure you use short screws when going this route so you don't pierce the board with them.
