All I can say is wow, this is way better than I expected. I have a lot of smoothies at home and I really wanted one that would work well with ice. Some of the smoothie blenders I've tried in the past don't handle ice very well and leave a lot of lumps. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a "smoothie" blender. Even before I tried it, one of the things that impressed me the most was how heavy the base is. This tells me that this unit clearly has a good solid motor. I also like the fact that the base has rubber feet with suction cups so it sticks to the countertop and stays in place. This particular blender also comes with a number of accessories that come in very handy. This makes it easy to grab a smoothie on the go, or even store some leftover smoothies in the fridge. Another feature I wasn't expecting was the capacity of the jars, in fact it's significantly larger than other smoothie blenders I've had in the past. That means it's easy to make a double cocktail to share with a family member. Finally, this particular device does a really great job of blending ingredients into a nice smooth blend, including ice. I'm very happy with it and put it on the countertop and put away my other blender that just isn't working that well. Now this is my favorite smoothie maker and the other one is a backup.
