According to the kids who wear these shoes, "They make me run fast." So if that's not enough motivation to buy them, I don't know what is. .Seriously, these aren't bad shoes. They are easy to put on, light weight and appear to be of acceptable quality. I don't expect them to last forever, but I've found that there's not much of a difference between "durable" and "regular" shoes for small children's shoes, so that's fine. Not sure if they would be great cold weather shoes as they seem to be just a step above the 'mesh'. They're not great for really humid environments either, but they're great for mild/slightly cold or the occasional rainy/muddy weather.
