Just as good as OEM for a lot less
This filter fits my GE fridge perfectly. I haven't tested the water for contamination, but the taste is excellent. There is no taste of minerals or metals in the water. This filter seems to work just as well as the OEM filter. Be sure to run 6 or 8 cups of water through a filter before drinking or using in a coffee maker, etc. to remove charcoal residue. At first the water comes out with a few fine bits of charcoal, but it clears up immediately.
