I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and quality of the cable at this price point. Most cheaper headphones feel light and fail within a few months of use. This one felt beefed up without being specifically Kevlar, which I usually buy for myself but is three times the price. I ordered these as last minute Christmas gifts for a couple of co-workers. Not only did they notice the reinforced cable, but the sound quality is excellent, they don't have to turn up the volume on the radio as much as they used to with old headphones. We were also pleasantly surprised that the cord was long enough to go through a jacket sleeve and clip to the cuff like a Secret Service agent, just like our original company's headphones.
