Review on Tenda U9 11AC USB Wifi Adapter - Dual Band 2.4/5G AC650 Wireless Network Card, Windows Compatible and Compact in Black by Hasam Mondol ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

I bought a new Asus 58U router in order to have 5g and found that the laptop does not support this frequency. I had to buy a usb wifi modem. According to reviews, I found Tendu U9. The store was told to demolish the old built-in wifi driver before installation, otherwise they would conflict. I didn’t do anything, but just plugged Tendu into usb 2.0. The module installed automatically in 2 minutes. After that, in the search for Wi-Fi networks, a frame was formed on top in which you can select the option either "Wireless Network" or "Wireless Network 2". The first shows the networks that the built-in modem catches, and the second, respectively, shows the networks that the external modem catches. I chose the second option and connected via an external modem to 5GHz. Nothing conflicts (because the built-in modem is apparently just plugged in and not connected to any router). Communication is excellent, behind two concrete walls the signal is reduced by only one antenna. After closing the lid of the laptop and opening it an hour later, I found that Tenda also went to "sleep" and in order for the laptop to see her again, it was necessary to "re-plug" her, which I did not like. BUT! Having rummaged in the device settings, I found that you just need to check the option like "Do not turn off the power of the device." From now on, when you open the lid of the computer, contact with the Wi-Fi appears after 1 second. I advise! Class!

Pros
  • - Compact - Very easy to install in the machine on Windows 10 - Strong 5G signal
Cons
  • Until I discovered
