I used to use this style to hang very large mirrors. I once used a pair of 3 foot pieces to hang a 10ft long x 8ft high mirror (pic added). I used this little hanger to hang a quilt my wife had drawn. Because it's only a 12" hanger, you can't span multiple bars. So watch your strength when using wall mounts in drywall. Luckily I went on wood here and not drywall. But a 12 inch hanger with wall latches should hold most canvas style artwork just fine. Also, you don't have to mount it exactly in the middle, since you have the option to play around with the guides left and right. They don't have to fit together perfectly, so if you need to move them an inch or two to get into the stud, you can. You can still center your part and your rails will be slightly offset and you will only lose a little hanging weight as a result, but at least one side is in the bolt so you can get more out of it.
