tl;dr: Getting a tiny fan, case and heatsink is a bargain in my opinion. Today I received my Pi4 and wanted to put it in the case. Another review says the fan doesn't clean the heatsink, but I suspect the buyer used an alternative heatsink and not the one that came with this case. The included coolers work as expected. A note on heatsinks: When installing, it is recommended to use heatsinks before applying a few coats. There is a black layer that interferes with the heatsink depending on placement. I would recommend applying this coat (#4 from bottom to top) before installing radiators. The SoC's main heatsink is tiny compared to the Adafruit heatsink I used passively on my 3B+. It was probably almost 5/8 inch tall and barely towering over the Adafruit's torso. I think I've typically seen temperatures of 60C when running in my closed enclosure. These are preliminary temperatures, but the fan seems to make a big difference. Despite the size of the cooler. The difference is that I see temperatures of 50C at 4C when running the same applications and load. The 5V fan is quiet enough, I'll never hear it unless it's sitting next to me on my desk (note: my temperature readings weren't scientifically done). I took some liberties during the installation process contrary to management's recommendations. Firstly, this is the heatsink installation order mentioned above, and secondly, I put the case screws in backwards. The booklet says the bolt head is on the top of the case and the nuts are on the bottom. This makes it much more difficult to remove just the top panel if necessary. So I swapped the bolts so I could remove the nuts and one plate at a time from the top. Finally I added some felt pads on the bottom. Regardless of the orientation of the screw, you either have the nuts or the head of the screw on the table surface. Using separate pads will help avoid scratching the counter or table. Overall I'm very impressed with this kit and think it's a new way to quickly produce and assemble cases without wasting time and money on full scale, fully molded models. so I can remove the nuts and one plate at a time from the top.
