Review on Pack Door Stopper Stoppers Doorstop by Miriam Hettich

We have several doors with carpet on one side and tiles on the other. As a result, the doors are cut fairly high to allow clearance for the doors to open and close. In the season when we leave our windows open and a gust of wind can slam those doors shut with great force (LOUD slam), a doorstop is essential for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately I couldn't find a doorstop that met the requirements and the carpenter's response was to cut the 2 x 4 into wedges. They worked, but failed the appearance test. If you glue two together bottom to top the doorstop is quite tall, holds onto the floor well and looks pretty decent.
