I was building a retaining wall out of 6x6 pressure treated lumber and these 10" screws were fantastic for the job. They ride straight and clean with no pilot holes and I've used about 40 of them and none of them have broken, frayed or let down in any way. I didn't know it came with a hex screwdriver, so I also bought a screwdriver for my drill, which turned out to be unnecessary. I recently bought a low speed, high torque (9 amp, 1/2" chuck, 850 rpm max, 400 ft-lbs of torque) drill bit for mixing grout, so it was perfect for driving these screws . I don't think I would risk burning a lower spec drill motor. I'm sure these screws were worth the money in terms of time savings and long term structural stability of the wall.
