I changed the order of what I taught my students from the book. I didn't find it necessary to proceed in the order they were in. I wouldn't use it exclusively as a textbook, even for homeschooling, but it's a good start. You can get other worksheets from the internet for more practice, or you can make your own, especially when explaining Ser vs Estar. You must understand and know the basics of Spanish grammar to be able to teach with this book. This explains enough for the student, but as a teacher you must already understand nouns, pronouns, possessive pronouns, etc. in Spanish to be really effective. This can help up to Spanish II depending on how advanced the student is.
