So I have pretty rough well water (high TDS, iron, weird smells, sediment, etc.) and needed a reliable source of drinking water when I first moved in. Osmosis thought it was the best! But then I discovered that over-purifying the water actually created its own problems. Basically, micronutrient deficiencies were causing muscle spasms, headaches, and everything else. I tried using a product to add minerals back to the water but some of these products also contained lead and it was very difficult to find the right product! So I thought. There has to be something better than a regular activated carbon filter, but less than reverse osmosis? Enter ultrafiltration. This seemed like the best option. It filters things like bacteria and I think some heavy metals (contact the company directly for details). I kept my reverse osmosis pre-filters and replaced the RO membrane with these, it was a very easy install due to the snap fittings. Rinse it off and boom, my water tastes amazing with all of its good natural minerals still present. It's been a few months since installation and my muscles aren't tense, my head feels great, the coffee tastes amazing, no problem! Thanks for a great product.
