I have a 2007 Impreza 2.5 station wagon. MADE IN JAPAN. Yes, these tabs work. I probably spent 2 hours getting that damn beep to let me know I was programming. It never happened. I watched the video "DIY auto help" on YouTube. Here's how I got into programming: 1. I quickly did 10x key shit. No sound signal. 2. Press "Unlock", open the door, close the door. 3. THERE IS NO SOUND. You press the LOCK KEY to ENTER (at the first row of numbers), the door won't lock, it's just a "click"! 4. Now continue entering the number (You should now be on the second number) and 5. AFTER THE LAST "LOCK"/"ENTER" ENTER 8 NUMBERS ONCE IN THE SAME WAY.6. Okay, after the last press of LOCK/ENTER. Unlock, lock, unlock, lock the key fob. As easy as this video. BAMM! Now you have a new keychain! I suspect this is a problem if you can't tell you're in the program. Much luck!
