Made cheap. Possible fire hazard. Fur.

Elegant and shiny, this small mini flashlight is comfortable to hold. He's a good weight for his size. I liked that it was more compact than a regular long lighter/butane gas lamp. Unfortunately, this is all just for show, because this device has major problems that make it almost unusable for me. After filling the burner (I used branded butane, not another brand) I lit the flame. When I set it on a medium flame, I noticed that every few seconds it would flash and go from that strong blue flame to a big orange flame, just like you would set a disposable lighter on the highest setting. He did it all the time. Second, and maybe more so, when you release it to put out the flame, a small blue flame remains at the tip. I was just looking at it so I noticed it, but if it's pointing straight away from the user they might not notice. You can put it anywhere and it might start a fire. Did it quite often. You can easily blow it out, but I don't want to risk forgetting it. Needless to say, this did not bode well. Yes I could try to replace it but to be honest I'm completely off the mark. I tried to save a few bucks on a famous brand and regretted it. I think even the replacement will be of the same crappy quality. Another annoyance are clumsy and sometimes nonsensically worded instructions. And indeed, this is a broader problem than just this point. Isn't there a native English speaker who could proofread instructions for clarity, typos and grammar? Yes, in most cases you get the gist of what they are trying to say, but often the meaning is too obscured by confusing and incorrect wording. Not impressed.
