I checked it, it seems correct.

I have to admit it's pretty cool. I bought it and put it in tap water and it registered water solids at 120ppm. I then drained the water, rinsed it with distilled water and refilled it with distilled water and it registered no PPM solids in it. I then drained the water and tested the tap water again (119ppm). Then I drained this water, but instead of rinsing it with distilled water, I added distilled water. 2 ppm was recorded. I then drained this water and topped it up with distilled water and no PPM solids were registered in it. For my use it's pretty accurate.
