Review on ☕ Stylish and Durable 1.2L Stainless Steel Coffee Kettle - Gooseneck Pour Over for Perfect Tea and Coffee - Black by Debbie Rossi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

New replacement in excellent condition.

I have just received a Sotya Whistling Surgical kettle and when I opened the box I found the spout lid was broken. The small pin securing the whistle's cap fell out. They used the same type of pin connection in another joint as well, and it looks like it will eventually come loose as well. The kettle looks great but is not very well made. ---------------------------------- I am checking my review. Shortly after writing the above review, I received an email from Sothy asking for more information on why I was returning their kettle. I explained and they said they would send me a new kettle free of charge if I changed my mind about writing my review. I agreed to receive the kettle today so now my full review. I refer to the photos below. In photo #01 you can see the broken part of the first teapot I received. Crate. The teapot comes packaged in a nice white cloth drawstring bag, and you get an inexpensive tea infuser (in a plastic bag) as well as rubberized jigs that you put on the handle and trigger. box and explains that the kettle can be used on almost any stovetop heating element. Photo #04 shows the underside. Note - I couldn't find the place where the teapot was made. After researching the internet, I found out that the teapots are made in Japan. Photo #05 shows two models. The one I'm looking at is on the right, SSH 002. Photo #06 gives you instructions on how to use the kettle. Note. The heading listed as a WARNING states that you should not put a heat protection glove (which is the rubber boot provided) on the handle while boiling the water. I found dressing after cooking difficult and uncomfortable. If you don't use a rubber pad you will need a heating pad or towel as the handle gets very hot. Photos #07 and #08 show the grip with and without the rubber grip. Please note that the spout cover will not open fully when the sleeve is in place. 10 The video allows you to hear the kettle whistle. Not very loud. I could barely hear him from the other room. Photo #11. Loose tea strainer. general opinion. This kettle is good for the price. The appearance of the structure is pleasing to the eye. I am not sure if I will use what is called an "anti-hot glove". It's also easy to bring a heating pad or towel with you. I will mention that if you have a gas stove, you should always take a kettle with a handle on top. If you get one with the handle on the side, there's a chance you'll end up melting it if you don't place it directly over the flame. What really caught my attention was how Sotya contacted me almost immediately to fix the issue. That's a real plus these days.
