Took me longer to find the positive and negative wires on the reverse lights than the rest of the installation. It lights up when reverse gear is engaged and goes out immediately after reverse gear is engaged. I mounted it on my license plate and unfortunately didn't tape or screw it in - I just used the license plate to hold the camera. Water has entered the camera lens. This could be because my truck doesn't have mudflaps, but there are a few things to consider. - I experienced interference on my FM radio when the camera was activated. - I need an alternative solution for the camera wiring. Good that it lights up immediately when reversing, but I hitch trailers and sometimes have to go back and forth several times. Since the camera only works backwards, you will lose the video if you switch from backwards. I prefer a powered solution that allows me to turn the camera on and off at will from the cab without draining the battery when I'm not in the car. I'm sure there are solutions to this. It would be great if the company had alternative instructions (possibly on their website) to get this kind of alternative camera performance. I'm still trying to understand the video image. . It's almost like a fish eye, so some parts are distorted or non-linear with the rest of the video. It's just something I'll have to get used to over time.
