Good quality polisher/sander

I don't have much experience with this type of tool. But it's solidly built, and if weight equals quality, then this is your best bet. It has 2 velcro discs of different sizes, comes with a few rounds of sandpaper (I think it was 300 grit), an orange, green and black foam sponge. Also has side handle and U-handle depending on which one you want to use. The speed can be adjusted, but only during rotation. What do I think needs to be adjusted before using it? I don't know, although I'm not a professional painter or bodybuilder. Basically, I wanted to try and use it to quickly get rid of yellowed headlights on my old truck. The screen ended up being too big for my use as the headlights are recessed and I didn't want to take them out. It still did its job as I didn't need them to be perfect. I just wanted to bring them to a level where I could coat them with UV resistant paint. I have learned that in the hands of an amateur you have to be very careful. I burned a headlight a bit and had to go back and start over. It sanded down with no problem, but mainly because it was too big for what I was doing. Although I would spend a lot more time painting and be extra careful. Overall it looks like a quality machine and in the right hands it will deliver some quality results. However, I wish it was some random orbital machine, but I knew it wasn't.

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Long wait time
