Works fairly well on print servers

Works pretty much as advertised and features are described by people. MAKE SURE you have downloaded the printer driver to your PC first. If you have multiple PCs at home or in the office this can be a bit cumbersome as in some cases (I have a Canon MP-780) the PC needs to be connected to the printer which means moving the PC or printer around . unless they are next to each other. After you have downloaded the printer driver for at least one PC, you can connect and set up the print server. I recommend doing this - setting everything up on a PNE PC and testing everything before spending a lot of time downloading printer drivers to a bunch of computers. Follow the LETTER instructions. There's a lot of "plug in", "unplug", "press this key", etc., which sounds a bit childish for a Power PC user like me, but it works. READ CAREFULLY what is displayed on the screen. I made the mistake of entering the WEP key when the passphrase was required. Guess what? It did not work. I tried to be smart and log directly into the print server. It worked even less. I started over, read carefully, and everything was fine. After the print server is configured, you must configure each computer with print server drivers. Follow the instructions again and you'll be fine. It's basically a three-step process1. Connect the printer and download the printer drivers (repeat for each PC)2. Install and configure the print server (do this ONLY ONCE for the print server)3. Download the print server driver to the PC (repeat for each PC). I installed 4 laptops and the whole process took just over an hour including the printer drivers. A few functions. The print server is normally disabled. -linear mode. When you try to print something, it automatically turns on and prints the page. The printer sometimes throws an error message before it can turn on, but once the print server starts up the message goes away and it works fine, it may just take a few extra seconds. This does not apply to the printer. other functions, especially scanning. You need to right click on the system tray icon and select "Connect". You can change the settings so it always stays connected once connected, but it's a matter of preference and how much you scan. Of course, you can now scan to PC, which wasn't possible before, so that's a plus. Overall the installation was pretty easy and I'm happy with the product.
