Confusing Size Chart = Pants Down

I love love love these pants! I'm allergic to sunscreen and I have SUP which is a terrible combination. I wanted closed and comfortable so I ordered these pants. I have very short legs so I figured capri pants would fit me like pants and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the 3X which looked like comfy loose leggings when I put them on dry. Once I got off the board and found myself in the ocean, I then climbed back on the board and left with my pants down. Luckily he was wearing a bathing suit underneath, otherwise it would have been SUPER uncomfortable. I will still wear them (with swimwear insurance) and plan to order a size or two smaller in a different color for some variety. I found a photo of my sister sitting cross legged and was impressed to see my swimsuit was not showing so waist is good too.
