I liked the 10 year warranty, the low 2W consumption and the build quality. I didn't like the high power consumption and the annoying fan noise. When looking for the maximum cubic meters per second for power consumption, you should look for a larger fan. Gyms will never take Vornados as an example. The Air King 99538 produces 3450 cfm at 70 watts instead of 650 cfm at 60 watts like the Vornado 783DC. The Air King is a low-revving 30-inch beast that pushes about 5x more air for about the same watts. I had an annoying buzzing noise that I could hear even though I was wearing headphones. I turned off the fan and the noise went away. If you are looking for moving air in your room, buy a ceiling fan. If you are looking for directional air from a small fan like the Vornado, just buy regular Vornado fans instead of a DC fan as the noise level is lower. If you have room for a box fan, just buy a decent fan like Lasko's Wind Machine for a lot less money. This fan only makes sense if you really like the little Vornado fan and don't care about the noise it makes and you run this fan at low speed all summer long. For the price of this fan I expect perfection. I'm returning the one I bought.
