I've worn many balaclavas over the years. This is of good quality and comfortable. This is a medium weight fabric so it is best to use in temperatures from freezing to room temperature. I could probably use this in freezing temperatures, but strong winds can be more noticeable compared to a heavier face cover. It is great for different wearing positions: eyes only open, entire face open, hair uncovered/nose and mouth closed, and neck covered. I have a big head and thick hair. However, this is not a tactical balaclava: according to the description, it is made of Lycra, which is not safe (it will melt) in high temperatures or dangerous conditions. So good gear for snowboarding, not something to wear down the range.
