Thick pads are good for seals
These pads are already firmly pressed in and are still relatively thick. It looks like they'll work just fine if you stick with the factory header. I couldn't use them on my Vance & Hines header due to the thickness. I missed the return window so they are kept as spares when other bikes need them.
