I hope this really disinfects the room. However, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Mine needed a little charging before work. You have to press and hold the power button for a few seconds, then the light will turn off and stay on for about 30 seconds. I suppose that gives you time to leave the room because it starts to work. No pets or people are allowed in the room during work. This works great for me between clients to ensure my room is decontaminated. I wish it was bigger but if you don't have much space it will be fine.
