My house is right under the city water tower so our water pressure is above average. On my outdoor faucets, my plumber read 100psi on the water gauge. The average psi for most blenders is 50-60 psi. The problem I had was that the high pressure blew out light garden hoses. Sturdy ranch hoses will do, but are awkward to pull across the yard. So I bought and installed some of these water regulators for my outdoor faucets. The psi has even been halved, allowing me to use cheaper, lighter garden hoses. Mission accomplished.
