Due to the insulation, the finger holes are a little narrow and short, especially for the thumb. The rest of the fingers go about halfway into the "slots" so I don't think buying a larger size would be a solution. What I've noticed in my five-finger "collection" is that models with a less resilient thumb guard seem to make the diameter of this groove too short and narrow. These shoes are warmer than my others and go above the ankle. I know I'll end up with a big toe seal, but I'm sure it would be nice to have an extra quarter inch of material for that 2 inch toe slot.
