Review on ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming Motherboard by Hemant Hemant ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not perfect quality, there is a small defect.

There is one more negative feature of this board, this is a very conservative mode of operation of the CPU auto overclocking (PBO) functions in stock + significant CPU heating! My 5950x in this mother produced the lowest stock results I could find on the internet. For example, cpu-z 650 and 10800 (RAM 3600Mhz); CB20 is only 9600-9800pts. Of course, when you study all the BIOS jambs and if you don't ruin anything by this moment, you will be able to set up your system after a couple of weeks of suffering and it will even work, but do you need it ?

Pros
  • Successful layout, good element base, satisfactory CPU power system, the minimum number of unnecessary "rattles" + all the advantages of the X570 chipset
Cons
  • All advantages and advantages are completely killed by the curved BIOS. It is not just a curve, I have the impression that it simply consists of jambs entirely ! There were a lot of problems with the BIOS when setting up the work! I will just give a small part of the examples of what I had to face: 1. If you change more than 3-4 parameters in the BIOS - you risk "catching" a black screen, and in some cases you even have to forcibly reset all settings by jumping the contacts on the motherboard (on this mother you will have to do this very often - do not be alarmed, this is the norm here) . And if you change two or three parameters with their subsequent saving and reloading (the same ones as before), everything works fine. In BIOS 3604, they finally fixed the loading of profiles - this is the only way now to change many parameters without a black screen . 2. There are a number of parameters in the Dram timing control tab that cannot be touched at all, otherwise everything will not work stably, whatever you do, or immediately a black screen . For example, the GDM setting - this function should always be kept as it was in the BIOS by default. Yes, in general, there are many problems with RAM stability. you will most likely have to set higher voltages. 3. Setting the Offset mode of the voltage on the SOC CPU, you add 0.005V and the values increase by 0.1V! Keep track of the changed voltages through offset, otherwise it will be trouble ! And this is only a small part of the problems - you will find the rest yourself)))
