I have not received any discounts or tips for this review. I'm a grandmother who does parties; We usually have 8-10 people. It's hard to stockpile extra groceries every year. Firstly, I prepare dinner early so as not to be too tired to enjoy this event. What do I do with all this stuffing after it's cooked but before it's served? And when it's over, young people sometimes take away so much leftover food that storage isn't a problem, but sometimes I still have a lot of food left over. This year I decided to prepare in advance. Large storage containers cost a ridiculous amount of money, but even if they were free I have other factors to consider; Like where am I going to keep these big boys between meals? Larger containers are available, but they cost more and take up more space in your fridge, freezer or cupboard. I decided to look for a two liter container. I didn't want to buy glass on purpose, but after looking at what was available I decided to stop. There are 2 bins and since each holds two quarts of food I have enough space between them to store a gallon of food. Having two bins instead of one big one gives me more flexibility when it comes to placement of the fridge etc. It was only when they arrived that I noticed the resemblance to Pyrex, which is known to be reliable. I decided to compare; I pulled out my trusty 2 liter blue lidded pot and placed them side by side. I examined them with and without the lid. And immediately I see that this Razab item is the best choice for storage because of its shape. When I'm putting something in the oven I want Pyrex for its excellent handles, but when I'm putting it in the fridge or freezer for a few days those handles are nothing but space hogs. In comparison, Razab is a rounded-edged rectangle and slightly larger; he has no arms at all. The lid is way better than the Pyrex which snaps open and is a bit confusing at times; The Razab's lid snaps into place on all four sides and there are no snags or difficulties. I have not tested the claim that it is waterproof. Best of all, this product is significantly cheaper than my favorite Pyrex. I'm always hesitant to give a product five stars when it's new to me. This time I'm doing it because I'm pretty sure this item will last a long time and also because the holidays are coming and a lot of people are shopping now, not later. BUT, if I see problems, I'll be back in no time to tell you about it.
