I recently bought a 27" iMac and was dying to have it with at least 32GB of RAM for Lightroom and Photoshop CC. Apple charges an additional $500 to upgrade iMacs from base 8GB to 32GB and upgrading from standard iMac delays the ship date. So I ordered a pre-configured standard 8GB iMac and ordered an additional 32GB from OWC. It only takes 10 minutes to install RAM and my iMac is now 40GB (8GB from Apple + 32GB from OWC) and I saved $300 compared to Apple's price for 32GB RAM!
