Review on Intel Dual Band Wireless- MQUPIN Intel 7260.HMW - AC 7260 Network Adapter & Bluetooth 4.0 | 802.11 b/a/g/n/ac Card (1 Pack) by Eder Boesel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It still worked with my HP Envy 17t J100 and offered both 5 GHz and Bluetooth.

My six-year-old HP Envy 17t J100 has everything I love, including the touchscreen and backlit keyboard. But it doesn't have AC Wireless (for 5GHz) and Bluetooth. So I bought this MQUPIN card. The WiFi portion of this card worked right out of the box without installing any software, but the Bluetooth didn't work by itself. The yellow triangle icon (with error code 43) remains. Installing Intel BT_21.10.1_64_Win10 did not help. There was also no technical support from Revain. (After they talked for about five minutes, they just disappeared.) I tried every suggestion I could find, including restarting the laptop and deleting the yellow triangle device in Device Manager multiple times. As a last resort, I turned off the laptop completely and removed the battery. This time Bluetooth shows up in Device Manager with no errors on reboot. I just had to manually add a Bluetooth mouse and headphones. Now everyone worked at the same time. (Image 1 is the working status of this card; Image 2 is an attached mouse and sound.) Considering that this card has gained about two important functions for my aging laptop, this purchase is really valuable, as is the time spent. (Update) Two days after the original post above, I've come to the conclusion that both network and bluetooth can work without fuss on some systems. They only had to reboot once or twice. I found this on the same laptop (HP Envy) on a different dual boot partition.
