We have a 13 year old cat with claws who went outside every day. We had a very small fenced in back yard that we couldn't escape from. Then we move to 10 hectares surrounded by forest. Our sweet kitty was taking a long time to adjust to her new surroundings and she was looking out the door, wanting to go outside. This product was our best decision. It's long enough to fit in our entryway, and then some. I have short legs but my husband steps over the gate with no problem. It slides back and forth on me easily. It stays in place and doesn't look cheap. Now I have a very happy kitten. She just wants to hang out with us and watch the birds. I would highly recommend this gate and am planning on installing another one to block the stairs.
