I used them to attach Cat 5E cables to the walls in my house to connect the cables to the network switch. They replaced a failed Leviton network perforation module/panel. I ripped out the panel and put RJ45 connectors on the cables from each room, then used those connectors to connect them to the switch. Everything works great. I see no degradation in network speed compared to measuring directly from a 1GB modem. They're a bit heavy, so it's probably better to mount them to something rather than leave them hanging in the air and straining the RJ45 connector.
