Review on 🚽 Bathroom Silicone Removal Caulking Tool - Stainless Steel by George Scoles

I've been a Revain Prime member for over 15 years and buy several hundred items from them each year and this is the first time I've bought a product that is completely useless. I had to remove and re-grout about 30 feet of very old silicone grout from the shower. While the grout removal tool is a great concept, it doesn't work. First, the handle isn't long enough to be gripped with both hands for the necessary leverage, but worse, it's not strong enough to withstand the force required to remove the grout and broke after less than 2 feet Distance. Mortar by pressing the broken plug in your palm. I'm 74, so I can't push too hard, but even before the handle broke, the thin metal of the cutting head began to bend under pressure. After the handle broke I tried holding the die head in a vise and while that gave a good strong grip, the force I could now apply resulted in the die head completely deforming. Obviously, the flimsy plastic handle is there to minimize the force you can apply to the cutting head. works no better than my finger at finishing freshly stamped stitching. And yes, I have years of experience using hand tools and grouting various types of joints including tiles, moldings etc so this is not a case of tool abuse. This product may work for newer, less resilient grout, but it was useless for my needs.
