Review on LapWorks Gripzilla Surface Tablets Neoprene by Nick Howard

Works with Dell 5290 or 5289, lots of features, durability not sure

I bought this because it looked like the best option for my Dell 5290 (similar to Surface Pro). The 5290 doesn't have cases with an integrated wrist strap, so it's perfect for this purpose. I was concerned that it would either hit the volume buttons or the power and home buttons, depending on which corners it's attached to. , but I was pleasantly surprised that he doesn't push any buttons. The grip angle is just enough to run over the keys without pressing them. This makes the buttons difficult to access when activated, but not impossible. It also fits the 5290 with a gumdrop case which is nice I don't have to remove the case. It works with the keyboard cover closed, although this prevents the keyboard from "snapping" into the bottom bezel. With a gumdrop case and an inverted keyboard cover, it's tight but works. As for the quality itself, that's what I expected, but nothing more. It bends a lot, especially when stretched. I would like an aluminum element in the body for more rigidity. Another problem is that the metal clips that hold the band to the plastic case peel off the plastic a bit when you twist it. And the strap/stand closes with two plastic tabs that appear sturdy but are actually just plastic. Overall, this product fits its niche and has many features. I'm not sure how durable it will be due to the plastic components, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
